Citizens and businesses are also able to transact with the government anywhere and anytime at their convenience.

The e-government implementation in Malaysia:

  • Some of the government websites still using Bahasa Malaysia although some of it has change to English.
2. Technological barrier
  • Lack of technical infrastructure.
3. Online behavior
  • Malaysians remain skeptical on being distrust on electronic transaction especially on online banking buying from an Internet store.
4. Lack of public awareness
  • Public are not aware of the services offered.

Strategies for citizen to adopt e-government:
  1. Provide websites with multiple language versions.
  2. Increase awareness through TV and radio advertisements, and organizing workshops at shopping malls.
  3. Provide consultation services on how to use those services.
  4. Simplify procedures needed to access to the e-government services.

The adoption of e-government brings more convenient to Malaysian and people no longer need to walk to the office to pay their tax form and etc. They can pay it through the internet.
